We aim to breed for type, temperament & soundness.
Ridgeback or lion dog as this breed is sometimes known, belongs to the hound group. Bred to hunt large game in Africa, they are tremendous athletes. They are a beautiful dog to watch in full flight or zig-zagging around in open spaces. They will also lie around all day just waiting for you. What attracted us to them is their fierce independence, wonderful intelligence, unwavering loyalty and loving companionship.
