ABOUT US
While looking at various dog breeds in 1990, a friend suggested the Rhodesian Ridgeback. We'd never heard of it. At this time, we were residing in Melbourne. Research saw us become really captivated by the breed. Further research of type and breeders lead us to wait for about 15 months before we welcomed home a quiet confident young boy. He was Ujamaa Raki Raki (Bheema) out of Grand Ch. Nkazimlo Umlingo (S) and Ch. Ujamaa Koya (D). Like most of the breed, he never barked unnecessarily. In fact, we were sure he was a mute, until he was 10 months old ! Such love, affection and companionship will always be missed. He passed on in 2003.
Fast forward a few years later to 2005 and we are now ready for another family member. We are now in Perth. Research leads us to old acquaintances and the same doorstep. Another wait and we welcome home Ujamaa Muse out of Rekaylahn Kwa Red at Ujamaa (S) and Ujamaa Makybe Diva (D) in April 2007. A tremendously affectionate companion, she will let us know when we have left her alone too long ! She will be the foundation bitch of Ngoma Kennels.
We are now looking forward to breeding and adding to our family.
